Our Musicians have played at hundreds of Weddings and have a unique understanding of providing Wedding and Ceremony music. Live music will transform any Ceremony or occasion.

The New Old Klezmer Band can provide the wedding music for your whole day or just the wedding ceremony itself, it all depends on your needs. We offer the best live wedding music in Italy.

Music will be played for the Processional (walking down the aisle), the Chuppah, and the Recessional (walking up the aisle) and the dances. The Ensemble will also play during the Prelude (as the guests arrive) and during the Postlude (as the guests leave).

The New Old Klezmer Band specialize in Jewish Wedding Music having the more extensive Jewish, Yiddish, Israeli, Klezmer repertoire available in Italy.

Our professional String section also performs as String Trio, String Duo. Other combinations including Harps and Soloists are also available.
We also offer a DJ service.
Upon request we can provide P.A. and lighting service.
You deal directly with a musical ensemble, not an agency. We give a very personalized service to each client. If there is a special musical request, we will try to find the music and make an arrangement for your special day.

THE CHUPPAH

Music plays an important part in the Jewish life cycle, and no more so than when it comes to weddings.

The ceremony itself (known as The Chuppah) remains the part of the wedding where Jewish music is most likely to feature.

There are a number of different tunes which are used to mark the entrance of the bride; the most popular include a choral song, Baruch Haba (which translates as: 'blessed is he') and the instrumental piece Eshet Chayil (translated as 'a woman of valour').

Other religious music may be used, often sung by a choir or a Chazan (cantor).

The New Old Klezmer Band specialize in providing music for a Jewish Wedding from the ceremony through to the reception and wedding

party.

We have an extensive musical library with the largest collection of Jewish, Yiddish, Israeli, mizrahi and klezmer music available in Italy.

Clients can choose from clarinet or violin alone, duos, trios and quartets to the 12 pieces Ensemble (or more) to create that special atmosphere before, during and after the Chuppah. Our schedule would be as follows:

·   We would start playing when the guests arrive about 30 / 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

·   On a cue (1) from one of the ushers, (whom we would like to meet when we arrive so that we know who to look for!) we then start playing in the wedding party and stop when they are settled around the chuppah.

·   On a cue (2) from one of the ushers we play the bride in. We are happy to play as she walks around the groom, however the Rabbi or Chazan may wish to sing her round. Either way, you should check with the Rabbi beforehand.

·   We can perform also with a Chazan if required.

After the breaking of the glass, we will perform traditional joyous and lively medleys of klezmer tunes starting with Siman Tov, Mazel Tov and will continue playing as the guests leave.

We will gladly suggest music for your processional and recessionals, and perform it for you. (Never, ever be satisfied with song lists!) We will work with you to select music that creates a warm, joyous and lively atmosphere.

I nostri musicisti si sono esibiti in centinaia di matrimoni e feste private ed hanno grandissima competenza nel suonare musica per cerimonie e ricevimenti. La loro musica trasforma qualsiasi occasione in un evento.

The New Old Klezmer Band potra’ suonare per tutto il giorno del vostro matrimonio o solo per la ceremonia, dipende unicamente dalle vostre esigenze.

The New Old Klezmer Band  suonera’ per l’arrivo degli ospiti, durante la Processione (l’arrivo degli sposi), la Chuppah, il banchetto e le danze.

The New Old Klezmer Band e’ specializzato  in musica ebraica ed ha un vastissimo repertorio di canzoni israeliane, mizrahi, Klezmer, Yiddish, Ladino, ma anche di musica italiana e internazionale.

La nostra sezione d’archi e’ anche disponibile in formazione Duo, trio e quartetto classico. Sono anche possibili altre combinazioni di strumenti, come violino solo, voce, arpa e organo.
E’ disponibile anche il nostro Dj che continuera’ ad animare la vostra festa con la migliore musica di tutti i tempi.
Su richiesta offriamo inoltre un service audio e luci (amplificazione audio e illuminazione) e allestimento di un palco.

LA CHUPPAH

La musica riveste un ruolo molto importante nella vita ebraica, specialmente in un momento solenne e di gioia come il matrimonio.

La cerimonia (Chuppah) e’ certamente il momento del matrimonio nel quale la musica ebraica e’  indispensabile.

Ci sono moltissime melodie usate per accompagnare l’ingresso della sposa; le piu’ comuni sono, Baruch Haba  ed Eshet Chayil (la donna di valore).

Altra musica puo’ essere cantata da un coro, o dal Chazan e accompagnata dal nostro organista.

The New Old Klezmer Band e’ specializzato nella musica per matrimoni ebraici dalla cerimonia fino al ricevimento e ai balli.

Abbiamo il piu’ vasto repertorio in Italia di canzoni ebraiche, israeliane, mizrahi, italiane e internazionali.

I nostri clienti possono scegliere dal clarinetto o violino solo, duo, trio, quartetto fino alla band di 12 elementi per creare quella speciale atmosfera prima, durante e dopo la Chuppah. Il nostro programma e’ il seguente:

·   Inizieremo a suonare quando gli ospiti arrivano, di solito 30 / 45 minuti prima dell’inizio della cerimonia.

·   Al cenno prestabilito di uno dei vostri amici, inizieremo a suonare la musica per la cerimonia mentre gli ospiti si sistemano intorno alla chuppah.

·   Al secondo cenno prestabilito suoneremo la canzone di ingresso della sposa. Ci piace suonare quando la sposa compie i “giri” attorno allo sposo; talvolta il Rabbino usa cantare alcuni momenti della cerimonia e conviene percio’ chiarire in anticipo l’alternanza con l’Ensemble.

·   Possiamo, su richiesta suonare con il Chazan.

Dopo la rottura del bicchiere, suoneremo le tradizionali melodie gioiose come  Siman Tov, Mazel Tov, Hevenu Shalom  e continueremo a suonare fino a quando gli ospiti si spostano verso il banchetto.

Saremo lieti di eseguire il nostro “tradizionale” programma musicale, ma siamo disponibili fin d’ora a lavorare con voi per costruire una scaletta musicale su misura e creare la perfetta combinazione di melodie e canzoni per voi e i vostri ospiti.
